Full job description

Finbar’s Irish Pub is hiring a Line Cook for our restaurant in Bedford, Nova Scotia.

Compensation and benefits

  • $18.50–$21.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
  • Tip-out program paid weekly; recent average is approximately $3.00 per hour,
  • Consistent full-time hours available year-round
  • Health, dental, and vision benefits after six months of eligible employment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Set up, stock, and maintain assigned kitchen stations
  • Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and workstation
  • Assist with food preparation, inventory, receiving, and closing duties as needed
  • Work scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Qualifications

  • Previous line-cook or professional-kitchen experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Knowledge of safe food-handling and sanitation practices
  • Reliable attendance, strong organization, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties of a kitchen role
  • Availability for a consistent full-time schedule
