Who we are

The Westin Bear Mountain Resort & Spa in Victoria is a luxurious 5-star hotel with 91 rooms, a restaurant, a bar and lounge area, a 300-person ballroom, and conference facilities. The hotel is part of the Westin brand, which falls under the Marriott umbrella. The hotel also features a state-of-the-art spa and serenity pool.

About the position

Our hotel is looking for an experienced PM Line Cook to join our busy morning kitchen team. In this position, you will assist in creating fresh and quality food items for the hotel's restaurant as well as for banquets and functions. Our perfect candidate has a solid cooking background and experience in a busy upscale restaurant. You have to be Food Safe qualified.

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and to work independently, but also as part of the culinary team.

About your experience

Minimum 2 years proven experience in the kitchen of a high-volume hotel or restaurant.

Knowledge of breakfast and grill.

Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards.

  • Provide excellent food service to guests, addressing any dietary restrictions or preferences.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Uphold restaurant and hotel standards to enhance guest satisfaction.
