Overview

Looking for a Chef de Partie with experience in an a la carte restaurant. Weekend availability is mandatory. An open mind, and willingness to learn are great qualities to have in joining this kitchen team. A full-time position is based on a four-day work week, and the interview process is a short 1-2 hour trial at the restaurant.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items
  • Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and best practices in handling and preparing food
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely service during meal periods
  • Support catering events as needed, providing quality food service to guests
  • Utilize knife skills effectively for various food preparations

Experience

  • Background in the food service or restaurant industry is advantageous
  • Knowledge of culinary practices, including cooking methods and food handling procedures
