Job Description: Onsite Co-op Marketing Intern

Position Title: Onsite Co-op Marketing Intern
Location: Killarney Mountain Resorts (Sportsman’s Inn and Killarney Mountain Lodge)

Duration: Year round
Reports To: Marketing Committee

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Onsite Co-op Marketing Intern to join our dynamic marketing team at Killarney Mountain Resorts. You will gain valuable hands-on experience in marketing by assisting with the planning, execution, and analysis of sales and marketing strategies for our resorts.

The successful candidate will assist in creating, maintaining and executing digital and on-site sales and marketing initiatives working closely with the executive. They will work closely with resort staff to enhance guest experiences, promote events, dining options, excursions and activities, and ensure our marketing efforts run smoothly across both properties.

Key Responsibilities:

· Canva & Content Editing - Assist in editing and suggesting marketing templates to promote dining, activities, and events at both properties.

  • Content Creation & Management: Assist in creating and curating content for each of the resorts’ social media platforms, website, promotional displays, and promotional materials. This includes writing copy, editing photos and videos, posting, and contributing ideas for creative campaigns.
  • Guest Experience & Engagement: direct marketing of activities, excursions, and events to onsite guests.
  • Event Promotional Support: Assist with the coordination and execution of on-property event promotions, guest outreach, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Brand Development: Assist in maintaining the resort’s brand consistency across all marketing channels and touchpoints. Help develop and implement brand strategies that align with the resort’s overall vision and market positioning.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general marketingadministrative support, such as scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and assisting with the tracking of marketing budgets and expenses.
  • Social Media & Digital Content: Capture photos and videos for marketing use, updatedigital signage, and contribute to social media content.

· Social Media Posts & Recommendations: Create engaging content for TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram, including behind-the-scenes footage, event highlights, and guest experiences.

· Signage: Ensure physical signage is current and in excellent condition around the properties.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant academic program (e.g., Marketing, Communications, Hospitality Management, or similar field).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing trends.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Creative, adaptable, and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous education or experience in hospitality and marketing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) or video editing software.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics or social media insights.
  • Interest or experience in the hospitality or tourism industry.

  • Due our small town have no rentals and not in our regional area, we offer shared staff accommodation in a dorm style building for $15/day with partial rebate for completing your contract, no family accommodation available, couples have to both work for us, is that acceptable to you?
