Food Service Manager

(NOC 60030 – Restaurant and food service managers)

Employer: Kitimat Subs Ltd. o/a Subway 18197

Location: 952 Wakashan Ave. Kitimat, BC V8C 2G3

JOB DETAILS

Work location: On site- Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Salary: $36.60 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Employment conditions: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend

Start: Starts as soon as possible

Benefits: Other benefits: One free meal on site for each shift

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Languages: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, preferably related to hospitality or food and beverage service.

or

Several years of experience in the food service sector, including supervisory experience.

Experience: At least2 years (Supervisory or managerial experience over the past 5 years in any food service company will be considered but preference will be given to work experience in a Subway restaurant.)

Work Setting: Rural area, Willing to relocate

Budgetary responsibility: 0 - $100,000

Specific Tasks/ Responsibilities:

· Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.

· Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.

· Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms.

· Analyze budget to boost and maintain the restaurant’s profits.

· Develop budget to determine cost of food, ingredients, alcohol, kitchen and cleaning supplies.

· Evaluate daily operations.

· Monitor revenues and modify procedures and prices.

· Conduct performance reviews.

· Organize and maintain inventory.

· Ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

· Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.

· Negotiate with clients for catering or use of facilities.

· Develop, implement and analyze budgets.

· Participate in marketing plans and implementation.

· Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.

· Leading/instructing individuals.

· Address customers' complaints or concerns.

· Provide customer service.

· Recruit, train and supervise staff.

Supervision: 5-10 people

EXPERIENCE AND SPECIALIZATION

Computer and technology knowledge: MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Point of sale system

Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check

Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods

Personal suitability: Accurate, Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability, Team player, Ability to multitask
