Server/Bartender – Tipsy Fox Pub & Grill

Location: Mount Forest, Ontario
Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

Job Summary

Tipsy Fox Pub & Grill in Mount Forest is looking for enthusiastic, outgoing, and hardworking Servers/Bartenders to join our growing team!

The ideal candidate is a team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, excellent multitasking skills, and the ability to stay organized and efficient during busy shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to every guest.
  • Greet customers promptly, take accurate food and beverage orders, and ensure timely service.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while following all responsible alcohol service regulations.
  • Accurately enter orders and process payments using our Toast POS system.
  • Maintain strong menu knowledge, including daily specials, promotions, and beverage offerings.
  • Actively upsell food, beverages, appetizers, and promotional items to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage multiple tables and bar guests efficiently during high-volume shifts.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining room, bar, and service stations.
  • Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, and side duties.
  • Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and responsibly.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Address guest concerns professionally and communicate any issues to management promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous serving or bartending experience in a restaurant, pub, or high-volume hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Valid Smart Serve certification is required.
  • Experience with Toast POS is an asset, but training will be provided.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly, outgoing personality.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers when needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high service standards.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry food and beverage trays safely.
