PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes, presentation standards, and responsible service guidelines.

● Provide friendly, attentive, and efficient service to guests at the bar and throughout the restaurant.

● Take customer orders accurately and ensure beverages are prepared and served in a timely manner.

● Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area, including bar equipment, glassware, utensils, and supplies.

● Follow all sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.

● Handle cash, process customer payments, and complete end-of-day cash procedures as required.

● Monitor inventory levels and assist with bar stock management, including beverages, garnishes, and supplies.

● Verify identification and comply with all applicable alcohol service laws and regulations, including Smart Serve requirements.

● Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to facilitate efficient and coordinated service.

● Assist with food service and other restaurant operations as required.

● Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and requests in a professional and courteous manner.

● Maintain a positive, cooperative, and inquisitive attitude while contributing to a supportive team environment.

● Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment is REQUIRED.

● Previous bartending experience is an asset.

● Valid Smart Serve certification is REQUIRED.

● Experience in customer service and/or hospitality is REQUIRED.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.

● Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure.

● Knowledge of beverage preparation, responsible alcohol service, and bar operations.

● Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment.

● Able to stand for the entirety of the shift and perform physically demanding duties as required.

● Personable, reliable, and genuinely committed to customer satisfaction.

● Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
