About the Role

Joy Cafe and Bistro is looking for a dedicated and professional Server to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, high-quality dining experience. If you are a seasoned service professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for hospitality, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive service and maintain a great knowledge of our food and beverage menu to answer guest questions and make recommendations.
  • Efficiently manage orders and payments (experience with POS systems is highly preferred).
  • Perform thorough cleaning tasks to ensure the dining area and service stations meet our high standards of cleanliness.
  • Work closely with the barista, kitchen and other staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of strong serving experience in a fast-paced environment. Please note: Applicants who do not meet this specific experience requirement will be disregarded.
  • Education: Completion of high school is required.
  • Attire: Must have (or be willing to obtain) black attire for shifts.
  • Trial Period: A 3 hour training and evaluation period will be provided to determine if the candidate is fully qualified and the right fit for the team.

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience operating POS machines and handling cash/card transactions.
  • A "lead by example" attitude regarding cleaning and organization.
