Experienced Chef /Line Cook – Italian Restaurant in : Vaughan, ON

Job Type: Part-Time,

Evening and weekend shifts

Pay range $24.00–$28.00 perhour, based on experience

Join our family run , Italian restaurant with over 30 years in business. We are known for our classic Italian cuisine, catering, and private events

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute high-quality Italian dishes with consistency and speed
  • Work primarily on the pasta and sauté stations
  • Assist on grill and prep stations as needed
  • Prepare pasta, sauces, seafood, chicken, veal, and other Italian dishes
  • Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service
  • Assist with restaurant service, private events, and catering
  • Maintain proper portioning, presentation, and food quality
  • Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and kitchen staff
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of line cook experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong Italian cuisine experience required
  • Experienced on pasta and sauté stations required
  • Experience with sauces, seafood, and grill
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently in a busy kitchen
  • Reliable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented
  • Food Handler Certification preferred
  • Must be available for evening and weekend shifts
