Full job description

Overview

Our Bell Staff are integral to the entire guest experience at the Fort Garry Hotel. Your role is a vital one as you will usually be the first employee to greet a guest and welcome them to the hotel and the last employee to wish them a safe trip home. We are looking for individuals who will be able to use their skills and professionalism to anticipate guest’s needs and provide them with an exceptional experience during their stay.

Please be advised prior experience as a Bell Person is needed to be qualified for this role.

Availability: Open Availability including weekends and holidays

Duties

Greet guests when coming into hotel and when they leave ** must always be paying attention to what is going on in the lobby area, especially the main entry doors**

Deliver luggage to guest rooms (including group tours -must be done in timely fashion).

Deliver other items as requested by guests and/or front desk.

Park and retrieve guest vehicles (valet).

Open and close main doors for guests.

Anticipate elevators - press buttons to call elevators so guests don’t have to.

Answer any questions guests may have.

Make recommendations for activities and restaurants.

Arrange transportation for guests if required.

Work with all other departments throughout the hotel to ensure the guest experience is an exceptional one.

Offer exceptional customer service to maintain the highest GIS scores possible via Medallia®

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of Bell Person experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.

Must have a valid MB Class 5 Drivers License & present driver’s abstract as a condition of employment.

Exceptional interpersonal abilities – welcoming to guests and employees at all times.

Ability to multi – task and stay organized.

Can work under pressure.

You will be “on the go” throughout your shift – we need Bell Staff to be enthusiastic and proactive.

Ability to communicate in English clearly (verbal & written); additional language(s) an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.63-$17.88 per hour
