Job Summary
We are looking for a cook to join our team at the Welborne Commons!
We are a small, full-service restaurant that takes pride in serving delicious food and drinks to our awesome local community. Our team works closely together to deliver a high standard of hospitality to our guests in a warm and welcoming environment.

Our BOH crew is a small team where everyone does a bit of everything, from hot side, and prep to the occasional dish shift.

We are looking for 1-2 years cooking experience, and the ability to work independently.

You would need a strong attention to detail, and organizational skills.

This is a part time position with expected hours 15-20hrs weekly, ranging from Tuesday to Sunday. The position will consist of a mix of opening and closing shifts a week.

Our hours are Tuesday-Thursday 1130-8pm, Friday & Saturday 1130-9pm.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to recipes and standards
  • Cook and assemble dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces
  • Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock
  • Support the kitchen team during busy hours to ensure timely service
  • Adhere to all health regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred; training will be provided
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety standards within the food industry is a plus
  • Experience with meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced setting is needed
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
