Company: Fun & Enjoyable Piano Lessons

Owner as of July 2026: Miss Connie Yi

Fun & Enjoyable Piano Lessons, led by Miss Connie with nearly a decade of teaching experience, offers high-quality piano and music theory lessons. We make learning the piano fun and enjoyable for students of all ages and skill levels, providing lessons in the comfort of their homes, both in-person and online.

Position: Part-time piano and music theory teacher

Location: Primarily Mississauga, Brampton, and Oakville in the Region of Peel, with future expansion anticipated.

Expected Start Date: First week of September 2026 with potential to start as early as first week of July 2024.

Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday 3pm-9pm, and Saturday 10am-6pm.

Peak hours are from 4pm-8pm on weekdays, September-June.

Lessons will not be conducted on statutory holiday weekends, or during specified break periods including Christmas break and March break. Additional closures will be communicated in advance.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct weekly in-person and occasional online piano and music theory lessons.
  • Create engaging and enjoyable lesson plans.
  • Travel to students’ homes and manage a timely schedule.
  • Provide practice notes and brief feedback to students and parents.
  • Prepare students for exams, music festivals, and recitals.
  • Write yearly student report cards.

Requirements:

  • For in-person lessons: a valid G2 or G driver’s license and reliable car. No other forms of transportation will be accepted. Travel between student homes is limited to approximately 20 km per teaching day.
  • For online lessons: 88-key piano/keyboard, high-speed internet, and video calling setup.
  • A firm commitment to teaching weekly from September to June, with the potential for up to 8 weeks of teaching during the summer based on demand.
  • RCM Level 8 or higher piano certificate or equivalent.
  • Teaching experience or pedagogical training is preferred.
  • ARCT, Licentiate, RCM certification, ECE, or degree in music is an asset.
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
  • Social Insurance Number (SIN).
