Overview

Join our vibrant culinary team as a BBQ Pitmaster / Smoke Meat Chef and ignite your passion for authentic barbecue! Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of smoked meats using traditional and innovative techniques to ensure optimal flavor and tenderness
  • Oversee the entire smoking process, including selecting quality ingredients, seasoning, marinating, and monitoring cooking times and temperatures
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food handling and meal preparation
  • Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visually appealing dishes that meet quality standards
  • Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks such as trimming, portioning, and organizing ingredients for efficient service
  • Ensure cleanliness of all cooking equipment, workstations, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations
  • Provide excellent food service by engaging with guests when appropriate and sharing knowledge about our barbecue offerings

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or food industry setting
  • Strong knowledge of smoking techniques, meat handling, and meal preparation specific to barbecue cuisine
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with guests when needed
  • Previous experience in serving or restaurant settings is preferred but not required
  • A passion for barbecue culture and a desire to continually refine your craft
