The Lookout Sports Lounge is a lively sports bar situated above The Liuna 4 Ice Centre (Quad Pad Arena) Mountain Brow

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic Part Time Line Cooks to join our team! As a Line Cook, you will be vital in preparing delicious food, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience. This role offers flexible hours perfect for individuals passionate about food service and eager to grow their culinary skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items efficiently according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking stations and storage
  • Follow all food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure guest safety
  • Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple orders with speed and accuracy
  • Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet presentation standards and are served promptly
  • Collaborate with team members to create a positive, energetic work environment

Qualifications

  • Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety practices
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards guest service
