National Nutrition is looking for an organized, reliable, and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team in Barrie.
This role will focus primarily on accounts payable using QuickBooks, along with personnel-related tasks, office administration, and the supervision of a junior administrative assistant. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy office environment, handling confidential information, supporting staff, and ensuring daily office operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable functions using QuickBooks
- Enter, review, and process vendor invoices
- Reconcile statements and follow up on billing discrepancies
- Maintain accurate financial and administrative records
- Assist with personnel-related tasks, including employee files, onboarding paperwork, and general HR administration
- Support payroll-related documentation and internal recordkeeping
- Supervise and support a junior administrative assistant
- Delegate administrative tasks and help ensure deadlines are met
- Provide guidance, training, and feedback to administrative support staff
- Communicate with vendors, staff, and management as needed
- Organize office procedures and help ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and personnel information
- Assist with other administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks is required
- Previous accounts payable or bookkeeping experience preferred
- Office administration or office management experience preferred
- Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable handling confidential information
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and general computer systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
