MR MIKES SteakhouseCasual® is looking for an energetic, people-focused Restaurant General Manager to lead our restaurant in Southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

This is an opportunity for a hospitality leader who is passionate about building great teams, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and driving strong business results. As General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of restaurant operations, including financial performance, team development, food quality, service standards, community involvement, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

Lead the Team

· Recruit, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing management and hourly team.

· Foster a positive, accountable, and guest-focused culture.

· Conduct regular performance coaching and development conversations.

· Build future leaders within the restaurant.

Deliver Outstanding Guest Experiences

· Ensure every guest receives warm, authentic hospitality.

· Lead service excellence and execution of MR MIKES standards.

· Monitor guest feedback and online reviews, responding professionally and promptly.

· Create an environment where guests want to return again and again.

Drive Business Performance

· Achieve sales, profitability, and budget objectives.

· Manage labour, food costs, and controllable expenses.

· Analyze restaurant performance metrics and implement action plans.

· Lead local store marketing initiatives and community engagement activities that drive guest traffic and sales.

Maintain Operational Excellence

· Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety, and company operating standards.

· Prepare for and achieve strong results on operational and food safety audits.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment.

· Utilize company systems and tools to support operational success.

What We're Looking For

· 3+ years of General Manager or multi-department restaurant leadership experience.

· Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.

· Strong financial acumen with experience managing sales, labour, food cost, and profitability.

· Excellent communication and coaching skills.

· Passion for hospitality and guest service.

· Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required.

· Food Safe Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
