Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee daily operations at our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, and overall responsibility of bar operations. Previous restaurant management experience, including supervising teams and handling food service operations, is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
  • Manage daily restaurant operations, including POS transactions and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
  • Enforce health and safety policies to create a safe environment for staff and guests.
  • Develop staff schedules, assign duties, and oversee team management to optimize productivity.
  • Assist in marketing initiatives and promote a positive dining experience to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant environment in accordance with hospitality standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service supervisory roles.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and food safety standards.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Squirrel POS or similar platforms.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Experience in interviewing, hiring, and training staff members.
  • Knowledge of food handling regulations and proper kitchen procedures.
