Full job description

We're looking for a full-time head line cook/Manager to join our team at Lee's Restaurant in East St Paul (just off Henderson).

Lee's is a busy breakfast and lunch spot located inside the Henderson Legion and a longtime community favorite.

What to expect:

-5 shifts per week

-Fast-paced breakfast/lunch service

-Supportive, easygoing team

Key Responsibilities

  • Line Supervision: Directs cooks on the line, assigns daily prep tasks, and ensures orders are timed correctly.
  • Quality Control: Inspects food plates before service and checks ingredient freshness.
  • Inventory Management: Tracks stock levels, orders supplies, and minimizes waste.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforces health, hygiene, and sanitation codes.
  • Memorizing recipes, policies, procedures, and standard portion sizes
  • Preparing ingredients and components of each recipe on the restaurant’s menu
  • Maintaining freshness of product and rotating old product out
  • Working with a team of Cooks to handle varying levels of activity
  • Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe workspace at all times to avoid contamination
  • Being aware of and following all kitchen health and safety regulations and guidelines

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of cooking experience, with previous lead or supervisory background.
  • Certifications: Valid food handler's certificate or safety license.
