ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Operations Manager, Beverage & Hospitality supports the Director of Operations in delivering exceptional daily operations at Waterworks Food Hall. This role focuses on leading the bar service program, supporting food hall operations, and ensuring strong execution of guest experience, service standards, and operational discipline across the property.

Working closely with the Director of Operations, this role collaborates on operational initiatives, vendor coordination, and team leadership while maintaining a strong presence on the floor and within the building.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage & Bar Operations

  • Lead daily operations of Waterworks beverage programs and bar service teams
  • Ensure beverage service standards, training programs, and compliance procedures are consistently executed
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on beverage programming, menu development, and service initiatives
  • Support beverage cost controls, inventory practices, and operational performance tracking
  • Maintain exceptional guest experience standards across all beverage touchpoints

Operations & Guest Experience

  • Support daily operations of the food hall environment, ensuring consistent service standards and smooth guest experiences
  • Maintain strong floor presence and oversee operational execution during peak periods
  • Resolve guest concerns and operational issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure cleanliness, safety, and hospitality standards meet Waterworks expectations

Vendor & Tenant Support

  • Support vendor relationships through daily operational coordination and communication
  • Address operational issues and support vendor success within the food hall environment

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead the bar service team and support broader operations team through training and coaching
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture aligned with Waterworks values
  • Support hiring, scheduling, and development of operational team members
  • Reinforce service standards, safety procedures, and hospitality culture

Events & Programming Support

  • Lead community outreach programming and liaise between events & operational teams to execute
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and marketing teams on events, programming, and activations
  • Support execution of private events, special programming, and seasonal initiatives
  • Coordinate operational logistics required for successful events and guest experiences

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, alcohol service requirements, and municipal bylaws
  • Administer licensing application support
  • Support safety training programs and emergency procedures
  • Coordinate with facilities teams regarding operational needs and maintenance considerations

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5–8 years of hospitality operations leadership experience
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop service teams in high-volume, fast-paced environments
  • Strong operational discipline and understanding of hospitality service standards
  • Strong understanding of bar operations including inventory controls, beverage costing, and service standards
  • Experience supporting events, programming, and high-volume service periods
  • Strong communication and team leadership capabilities

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
