We are seeking an experienced General Manager to assume full operational leadership of a seven-location restaurant portfolio across Alberta. This is a senior, high-accountability role suited to a proven multi-unit operator ready to lead an established business from day one.

La Mere Capital Inc. owns and operates seven Subway restaurant locations across Alberta, with stores in Wetaskiwin, Edmonton, and Leduc. About the Role

As General Manager, you'll be responsible for the performance of all seven stores from the start. Twelve months in, you'll have built a management team you trust, driven consistent food safety and quality scores across every store, and hit performance targets across the portfolio. You'll report directly into ownership and operations leadership, with real authority to make operating decisions and the accountability that comes with running the business.

What You'll Do

● Own full day-to-day operations across all seven store locations

● Drive consistent execution on food safety and quality standards, targeting a minimum Steritech B score at every location

● Set, track, and hold teams accountable to store-level KPIs across the portfolio

● Recruit, train, and develop store-level managers and staff

● Standardize operating procedures across all locations so performance is consistent no matter which store a customer walks into

● Manage labor, inventory, and cost controls across the portfolio

● Report regularly on store and portfolio performance to ownership

● Travel routinely between locations in Wetaskiwin, Edmonton, and Leduc

What We're Looking For

Required

● Experience managing multi-unit food service or retail operations, ideally within a franchise system

● A proven track record of hitting operational KPIs and food safety/quality benchmarks

● Experience managing and developing store-level managers across multiple sites simultaneously

● Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly between Wetaskiwin, Edmonton, and Leduc

● Strong communication skills — you'll be the connective tissue between store teams and ownership

● Comfort owning P&L-level accountability for a multi-store operation

● Solid working knowledge of restaurant management systems and technology (POS platforms, scheduling and labor management software, inventory/ordering systems, and reporting dashboards) — this is a must, not a preference

Preferred

● Prior experience with Subway or another quick-service restaurant brand

● Experience running a full portfolio of locations, not just a single store

● Familiarity with Steritech or similar food safety audit programs

Compensation & Benefits

This role offers a comprehensive compensation package built around three components:

● A competitive base salary, commensurate with experience and scope of the role

● Fixed monthly allowances to support the travel and operational demands of managing a multi-location portfolio

● A quarterly performance bonus, earned when the portfolio maintains minimum required food safety (Steritech) scores and hits defined store-level KPI thresholds across the majority of locations

Pay: From $90,000.00 per year
