Line Cook Overview

We are looking for dedicated and hard-working Line Cooks to join our kitchen team. Ideal candidates bring a strong work ethic, a solid understanding of kitchen flow, and a genuine passion for contributing to a tight, professional culinary environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, value teamwork, and take pride in executing great food while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Set up, maintain, and break down assigned stations for service.
  • Assist with daily prep, including chopping, measuring, portioning, marinating, labeling, and stocking.
  • Ensure ingredients are properly stored, rotated, labeled, and handled according to food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, storage areas, and kitchen equipment.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent service.
  • Communicate clearly with chefs, fellow cooks, and support team members during prep and service.
  • Assist with daily kitchen operations, including cleaning, equipment care, and end-of-day closing tasks.
  • Support waste reduction by following proper portioning, storage, and prep procedures.
  • Take initiative in identifying areas that need attention and act on them.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members where needed.

Skills

  • Previous kitchen experience is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to stay focused, organized, and efficient during busy periods.
