Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Restaurant Supervisor to help oversee daily operations at our busy hot pot restaurant. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, restaurant experience, and the ability to support both front-of-house and back-of-house teams during service. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will help ensure smooth dining room operations, consistent food and service quality, proper food safety standards, and an excellent customer experience.

This role is best suited for someone who is organized, hands-on, calm under pressure, and able to lead staff in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, including dining room, service, kitchen flow, and staff performance.
  • Support servers, hosts, runners, kitchen staff, and dish staff to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Monitor food preparation, presentation, and order accuracy to maintain restaurant quality standards.
  • Ensure proper food handling, cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Assist with training new team members on restaurant procedures, customer service standards, food safety, and daily responsibilities.
  • Help manage staff breaks, shift duties, opening tasks, closing tasks, and side duties.
  • Communicate clearly between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to keep service efficient.
  • Handle customer concerns, complaints, and special requests in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Support management with staff performance, coaching, scheduling needs, and daily operational issues.
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, sauces, service items, and preparation levels, and report shortages when needed.
  • Ensure the restaurant remains clean, organized, and presentable throughout service.
  • Enforce restaurant policies, health code standards, and safety protocols.
  • Help create a positive work environment by leading by example and maintaining professional standards.

Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, food service, or hospitality environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant service, food preparation, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced dining environment is an asset.
  • Ability to lead and support a team during busy service periods.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable handling customer complaints and resolving issues professionally.
  • Experience training or coaching staff is preferred.
  • Hot pot, Chinese restaurant, Asian restaurant, or high-volume restaurant experience is an asset but not required.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, hands-on, and able to multitask under pressure.

We are looking for someone who can take initiative, support the team, and help maintain a high standard of service and cleanliness. The Restaurant Supervisor should be able to step in where needed, communicate clearly with staff and management, and help ensure every guest has a positive dining experience.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
