We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly by assisting with food preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about the food industry and looking to develop their skills in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

YOU MUST NEED TO PROVE YOU SKILLS TO USE THE KNIVES EFFECTIVELY

Duties

  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
  • Strong skills to use the knives, proper grip, a stable cutting technique and understanding how to use different cuts effectively
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and storage areas.
  • Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
  • Support cooks during meal preparation and assist with cooking as needed.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
  • Participate in daily cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
