Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, and ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service, strong time management skills, and a passion for delivering a positive dining experience. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food handling, cashiering, and restaurant operations within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS.
  • Prepare and assemble food items according to established standards and safety guidelines.
  • Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, and process payments efficiently.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality service.
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as required, supporting kitchen staff when necessary.
  • Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times to maintain hygiene standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions or concerns professionally and courteously.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours.
  • Kitchen or food industry experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
  • Friendly attitude with a focus on providing a positive dining experience for all customers.

Pay: $18.50-$21.00 per hour
