About the Role

We are seeking high-energy, outgoing, friendly, and efficient Front of House Team Members to join the awesome team at Haugen’s. This role is an important part of creating a great experience for our guests, supporting smooth front-of-house operations, and helping create a welcoming and positive environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, enjoys working with people, and can thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Duties

  • Create an amazing experience for every one of our valued guests
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with their orders
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash transactions, process payments, and provide correct change
  • Prepare simple food items as needed while following food safety and sanitation standards
  • Upsell menu items and provide recommendations to enhance the guest experience
  • Maintain cleanliness of the front counter, dining area, and service stations
  • Ensure food handling procedures comply with health and safety regulations
  • Manage order flow during busy periods to help minimize wait times
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including:
  • Cleaning and sanitation
  • Restocking supplies
  • Preparing the restaurant for the next service

Experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or a restaurant environment is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and professionalism
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is an asset
  • Familiarity with POS systems, such as Micros POS, is an asset
  • Experience in food preparation, serving, or cashiering is an asset
  • Previous kitchen or food industry experience is beneficial but not required
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

Starting at $17.60 plus tips.

Pay: From $17.60 per hour
