Full job description

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced, upscale kitchen environment. This role ensures consistency, presentation, and timely execution of all menu items while maintaining the club’s culinary standards. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and plating guidelines.
  • Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness in all work areas.
  • Assist with daily prep tasks, including chopping, portioning, and marinating.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of food products.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
  • Follow direction from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, and support other stations as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout service.
  • Support inventory control by minimizing waste and using products efficiently.
  • Uphold the club’s standards for guest experience and overall food quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a line cook or similar role (club or restaurant experience preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Food Handler Certification (required or willing to obtain).
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, and working in a busy kitchen environment.
