As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth service, high-quality food, and a motivated team. You’ll manage inventory, control costs, and ensure food safety standards are met. Your role also includes recruiting, training, and developing staff, handling guest concerns, and managing schedules. Your leadership and communication skills will drive performance, boost customer satisfaction, and strengthen community relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth business flow and the production and service of high-quality food and drinks by a well-trained team.
  • Maintain operational excellence by adhering to standard operating procedures and exceeding hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Analyze restaurant performance through audits, create action plans for improvements, and set goals to achieve optimal performance.
  • Foster positive relationships with guests by ensuring fast, accurate service and handling complaints professionally.
  • Control food, paper, and labor costs to align with restaurant goals, and manage inventory and cash handling procedures accurately.
  • Complete restaurant ordering, maintain inventory control, and create and post staff schedules on time.
  • Review timecards, complete payroll, and ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
  • Prepare performance analysis reports and lead the restaurant toward success while building relationships with the local community and engaging in corporate social responsibility programs.
  • Establish security procedures to ensure the safety of team members and guests.
  • Recruit, train, and develop both new and existing team members, while motivating them to meet targets and identifying high-potential employees for progression.
  • Create personal and team goals, maintain open communication, and encourage a positive team environment.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and ensure fair management of offenses.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, conduct regular workplace inspections, and train the team on PPE and safe work practices.
  • Report and investigate work-related injuries, enforce health and safety policies, and take necessary disciplinary actions for non-compliance.
  • Keep the Director of Operations, Area Manager, or other relevant leaders informed of any hazards and suggest improvements.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience as restaurant manager in a fast service setting.
  • Experience in achieving sales targets and controlling Food, Paper, and Labour costs in a restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and perform tasks involving reaching and bending.
