Full job description

Manning Park Resort is a year-round resort located between Hope and Princeton, BC. If you are ready to leave the hustle and bustle of city life, and enjoy outdoor fun and adventure, this place is for you. Staff housing is available, so your dream of living in the mountains is part of your adventure at Manning Park Resort.


We are presently looking for our next great team member as a Night Collection & Patrol Attendant to join our Park Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

  • Ensure elevated levels of customer service; provide campers with information on park activities (hiking, fishing, canoeing).
  • Collect and process parks fees, firewood sales and camper registration.
  • Respond to campers' inquiries and provide assistance when required.
  • Liaise with BC Parks information services to inform them of campground occupancy and vacancy.
  • Provide site security and enforcement of Park policies; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to lead hand, supervisor, or manager.
  • Patrol the Resort, Campsites and Day Use Areas of E.C. Manning Park.
  • Record and report traffic counter results and park stats.
  • Complete end of shift duties; balancing deposit, completion of logbooks, submitting deposit for safekeeping.
  • Perform equipment inspection and maintenance.
  • Represent BC Parks and Manning Park Resort in a professional manner.
  • Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which may include but is not limited to cleaning and maintaining parks facilities such as pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits, communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls.
  • Other tasks as required within MPR


Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Ability to use cleaning supplies (all-purpose cleaner, bleach, Windex, ...)
  • Previous experience handling money and record keeping.
  • Minimum Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract
  • Clean criminal record check.
  • Available to work flexible hours; morning/evening shifts will be required. Mainly evening shifts during the peak season (July/August) and public holidays. 32-40hrs per week.
  • Value safe working practices.
  • Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) or willingness to obtain one before the beginning of the season. Please note that MPR is offering a First Aid course at no cost.
  • Value safe working practices.
  • Experience with landscaping and working with power tools is an asset.
  • Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset.


This is a Seasonal position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Summer Season (June-October).
