Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Banquet Server to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service in a fast-paced food service environment, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong hospitality skills, be attentive to detail, and have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Experience in the food industry, including restaurant or banquet service, is preferred. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, serving, and guest relations within a dynamic team setting.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and seat guests promptly, providing friendly, attentive, and professional service throughout their dining experience.
  • Accurately take and serve food and beverage orders while answering menu questions and offering recommendations.
  • Ensure all food and beverages meet quality, presentation, and service standards before delivery.
  • Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.
  • Clear and reset tables efficiently, complete opening and closing duties, and maintain stocked, organized service areas.
  • Answer telephone inquiries, manage reservations, and process room service and take-out orders.
  • Assist with the setup, service, and teardown of banquet and special events as required.
  • Promote menu items, beverages, and hotel offerings to enhance the guest experience and support departmental goals.
  • Adhere to all food safety, liquor service, health and safety, and company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while supporting team members and contributing to a positive workplace culture.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Smart Serve Certification required.
  • Previous restaurant, banquet, or hotel experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance, dependable work ethic, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
