Full job description

- Set up, clean, organize, and maintain kitchen workstations.

- Complete opening kitchen preparation, including food preparation,

inventory checks, and supply organization.

- Prepare ingredients for daily service, including washing vegetables,

chopping produce, portioning ingredients, preparing sauces, and

seasoning meats.

- Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and menu items

according to established recipes and quality standards.

- Coordinate food preparation activities and manage multiple food orders

simultaneously during peak service periods.

- Monitor food quality, portion control, presentation, and consistency.

- Ensure compliance with Food Safe standards, health regulations, and

workplace safety procedures.

- Maintain proper food storage, rotation, labeling, and inventory control

practices.

- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, food preparation areas,

and workstations.

- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply requirements to

management.

- Assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies.

- Recommend and develop Latin American-inspired specials and seasonal menu

items that align with the restaurant's offerings and customer

preferences.

- Provide guidance and support to kitchen helpers and other team members.

- Assist with training and on-boarding of new kitchen staff.

- Monitor kitchen workflow to ensure efficient and timely food service.

- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to

maintain a high standard of customer service.

Qualifications

- Can work from 6am - 2pm

- Food Safe Certification.

- 5+ Years experience preparing and cooking meals in a commercial kitchen

environment.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, inventory management,

and kitchen operations.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Must have previous knowledge or experience with Latin cuisine.

Preferred Qualifications

- Speaks English, French and Spanish

- 1+ years of experience

- University level culinary arts certificate and other related culinary education is an asset

Pay: $21.57-$28.37 per hour
