Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Line Cook to join our team at Acme Pizza & Pasta Co. in Sunnyside/Kensington.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety, with a passion for delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

This role offers an opportunity to showcase your culinary skills, contribute to a vibrant dining experience, and grow within our expanding restaurant group.

Previous experience with pizza making and/or Italian Cuisine is preferred.

We are located at 940 2nd Ave NW - one block South of the Sunnyside LRT Station

Responsibilities

  • Prep and prepare menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with food handling and safety
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and excellent food service
  • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation

Qualifications

  • Min. 3 yearsprevious experience as a line cook or in a similar food service role within a fast paced restaurant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards
  • Experience with meal preparation, food handling, and serving in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
  • A passion for the culinary arts is essential
