Full job description

Line Cook — at The Coyote Golf Club, Sundre

Bring your skills to a kitchen that matches our course: well‑crafted, welcoming, and proudly local. At The Coyote, we pair championship golf with genuine hospitality - and our food is a big part of that experience. We’re looking for a dedicated Line Cook who takes pride in consistent execution, clean stations, and serving guests with care in a fast-paced, friendly environment.

What you’ll do

  • Prepare and cook menu items to spec - consistent seasoning, temps, and presentation every time.
  • Support prep: chop, batch, portion, label, and rotate to keep service smooth.
  • Plate with intention and pace - hot food hot, clean rims, timely tickets.
  • Keep your station dialed: sanitized, organized, stocked, and audit‑ready.
  • Follow Alberta Health Services food safety and handling procedures.
  • Communicate and collaborate so the line moves as one team.
  • Track low stock and communicate needs early to reduce waste and outages.
  • Pitch in on serving protocols and meal assembly for events and tournaments.

What you bring

  • 1+ year in a restaurant or high‑volume kitchen (or strong prep skills and the drive to learn).
  • Solid grasp of food safety, sanitation, and line flow.
  • Proven attention to detail under pressure - you stay calm and consistent in the rush.
  • Team mindset and guest focus - you know your work shapes the day for golfers and families.

Why you’ll like it here

  • Beautiful setting in the heart of Sundre with a positive, close‑knit team.
  • Predictable shifts and clear standards - we plan ahead and execute together.
  • Pride in product - scratch prep, consistent plates, and events that showcase your skills.
  • Perks aligned to our culture of play and hospitality: staff meal, event tip-out eligibility, golf privileges, and pro shop discounts.
  • Competitive pay based on experience, with opportunities to grow and take ownership of stations.

Details

  • Seasonal full-time. Typical blocks: 8:00 am–3:00 pm or 3:00 pm–10:00 pm, with weekend/event coverage.
  • Compensation: competitive hourly based on experience; discussed at interview.
  • Location: The Coyote Golf Club, Sundre, AB.
