The Bertossi Group’s incredible Cafe & Retail Store, ‘Pane e Circo’ is seeking a dynamic and outgoing Cafe Manager who possesses a passion for hospitality, along with an interest in fine cheese, charcuterie, coffee and artisanal desserts and the ability to share that passion with Pane e Circo customers.

Pane e Circo offers the highest quality products for customers to take home and enjoy, including a vast selection of imported salumi & cheeses and artisanal pastries & desserts baked fresh each day. Pane e Circo also offers the fresh handmade pastas and sauces people come to love in our restaurants.

Job Description

The successful candidate should have a passion for exceptional customer service, and will know how to create a great customer service experience, have a focus on quality and take pride in their work.

As Cafe Manager, you will report to the Dining Operations Manager and oversee all aspects of food service, provide support in creating a team environment, which fosters inclusivity and positive connections. You will strive to achieve store success by directing and leading the team to achieve store objectives, which include sales and profit goals, recruiting, performance management, training, and development.

Job Duties

  • Ensure the cafe is providing the highest level of hospitality, while enhancing the guest experience in every way possible
  • Leading a dynamic team of cafe servers to uphold service & product quality standards
  • Share their wealth of knowledge with inquiring guests on the wide range of products we offer, to maximize guest experience and sales
  • Lead by example in all aspects of management, from guest interactions to cleanliness

Qualifications

  • You have at least 2+ years of leadership and or supervisory experience in a hospitality based environment
  • Proven ability to lead teams to success through strong sales performance
  • A High School graduate or GED equivalent. Post-Secondary education is an asset
  • Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while also being committed to creating an amazing customer experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Love working as a team and appreciate the chance to collaborate
  • Basic knife skills
  • Knowledge of cheese and charcuterie considered an asset
  • Previous Barista experience considered an asset

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, exert well-paced mobility for up to 9 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
  • Ability to use commercial equipment including scales, slicer, packaging machinery and a cash register
