Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dishwasher/Cleaner to join our team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in food service, restaurant operations, and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment efficiently and thoroughly
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, including counters, sinks, and prep areas
  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and cleaning ingredients
  • Support the kitchen staff by ensuring all dishware is available for food service promptly
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to uphold health standards
  • Dispose of waste and recyclables in accordance with sanitation guidelines
  • Keep the dishwashing area organized and stocked with cleaning supplies
  • Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a clean working environment

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in cleaning or dishwashing within a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards is a plus
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy loads (up to 50 pounds)
  • Basic understanding of kitchen operations is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
