Busy Franchise Restaurant Chain seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic full time Graphic Designer to join our team.

An integral part of the Marketing Team, the Graphic Designer will create design solutions and develop materials for all areas of marketing from concept to production.

The role reports to the VP, Marketing and requires an innovative individual who naturally thrives in a high energy, fast paced environment.

· Design brand materials including (but not limited to) point of purchase displays, advertisements, menus, murals, social media creative, local store marketing materials, digital assets and videos, including social media assets.

· Work with printers, providing print specifications, print ready art, and checking proofs.

· Create and update web (Wordpress) materials for the brand’s website.

· Own the brand style guide and ensure consistency of brand image across all platforms.

· Contribute new ideas and suggestions for enhancing brand image and design strategy.

· Other job related duties/tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED:

· Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Excel, PPT and/or Google Workspace etc.

· Highly familiar with the print production process in various formats/materials from development to final production, with strong ability to manage vendor relations and distributors

· Solid working knowledge in Wordpress and web design principals (UX/UI)

· Ability to design and develop social media and digital advertising assets for main platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Google

· Solid knowledge of design principles (typography, information hierarchy, color, etc.)

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage projects in a fast paced environment.

· Food photography knowledge and skills preferred

· Experience with promotional marketing, retail merchandising and environment design will be a strong asset

· Additional desirable skills; Mailchimp, Elementor, video design/editing, SEO knowledge

· Enthusiastic, dedicated, detail-oriented, and a team player.

· Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills. Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively and remain open to others' ideas.

· Must be adaptable, creative, consistent, highly organized and able to balance and prioritize tight deadlines.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

* You are detail oriented, organized and a motivated self-starter with a passion for teamwork and collaboration

* You are adept at multitasking and you thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage priorities and timelines. You are a creative problem solver when it comes to brand management and day-to-day challenges

* You have good communication skills, adaptability and empathetic listening skills.

* Must have excellent written and verbal English skills

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related education.

· 4-7+ years’ experience in restaurant or retail design, preferably with a multi-unit chain, print design and production or other related field preferred, with a demonstrated portfolio.

Company offers negotiable salary + full benefits + hybrid work arrangement.

With the ongoing growth and expansion this 18 month contract could become permanent.

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Burnaby, BC V5C 6R6
