Full job description

Bukwildz is a lively restaurant on Lakeshore Drive with upwards of 60 staff in the months of May through September and down to our intimate core staff of 15-20 in the fall and winter. We have had several staff who have been with us almost as long as we have been open. We believe that everyone who comes to work finds joy being at work and it shouldn't feel like work.

We take pride in going over and above in customer service. All of our guests should be treated like they are your own best friends! Over and above at any opportunity is our mantra.

The perfect candidate would need to be in a position in love where they are very flexible to work all kinds of hours in the peek season when all hands are on deck for our visitors. The fall and winter is a very structured work schedule where we take the opportunity to reinvent, create and get better every year. Work life balance is amazing from October to May then back to the busy summer days.

Some key skills that we are looking for would be a real leader who shows their team by example how a professional kitten needs to be ran. Be creative and capable of executing high volumes of food with consistent quality and plating. Food ordering and maintaining a clean and profitable kitchen that everyone enjoys is key roles. I am not looking for a kitchen lead who only does paper work. I am looking for a leader.

We use TouchBistro for our point of sale. You will be working very closely with the management team in both front of house and back of house. You will also be working side by side with the owner. If you are someone who is a high energy motivator who thrives in busy environments and wants to be part of a team that has successful systems in place but are always ready to add and get better then this job is for you.

I would expect that this person to want to have pride in every dish, get to know our customers and be a positive addition to our team.
