Full job description
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Pizza Hut (PH) Canada is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our Operations team in a Franchise Business Coach role. We are looking for someone who thinks outside the box and is passionate about achieving exceptional outcomes. Working closely with the Operations Team and collaborating with various departments, this position is responsible for driving impactful initiatives within the Operations department and providing guidance to franchisees to enhance sales, profits, and operational standards.
This job description encompasses the core duties and responsibilities but is not exhaustive in scope. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional strategic thinking abilities, strong project management skills, and a deep commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences. The key areas of focus for this role include:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Franchise Performance & Business Coaching
- Partner with franchisees and Above Restaurant Leaders to review financial performance, operational execution, and people practices — identifying opportunities to grow sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction
- Monitor key restaurant metrics (e.g., speed of service, guest experience, labour, sales, and P&L performance) and work collaboratively with franchisees to develop and implement improvement plans
- Ensure restaurants operate in alignment with brand standards, policies, and procedures
- Act as a brand ambassador, building strong, trust-based relationships across franchise organizations
Operational Execution & Initiative Deployment
- Support the execution of new initiatives including product launches, technology rollouts, operational processes, and promotional programs
- Assess restaurant readiness pre-launch, provide coaching support during rollout, and evaluate post-launch performance to drive continuous improvement
- Partner with Development teams to support successful new restaurant openings and store resales
Project & Change Leadership
- Lead and support cross-functional projects that enhance restaurant operations, guest experience, and team effectiveness
- Scope, design, plan, and manage key operational initiatives from concept through execution — balancing timelines, stakeholder needs, and outcomes
- Contribute to the evolution of operations programs, tools, layouts, systems, equipment, and product innovation to support future-focused growth
- Foster strong internal collaboration and alignment while navigating competing priorities
Guest Experience & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze guest feedback and operational trends to identify systemic opportunities and recommend solutions
- Review and evolve restaurant processes to improve efficiency, drive consistency, and enhance service delivery
- Champion a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous learning
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; strong technology fluency is an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of operational leadership experience — ideally in a multi-unit or franchise environment.
- Strong financial and business acumen with experience reviewing P&Ls and operational metrics.
- Proven project management capability, with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strategic thinker with excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
- Strong relationship-builder with exceptional communication and influencing skills.
- Comfortable engaging with both franchise owners and corporate leaders.
- Flexible, creative, proactive mindset with the ability to streamline processes and drive improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Willingness to travel within Canada.
The expected hiring range for this role is $82,200 to $103,500 CAD, inclusive of base salary and target annual performance bonus. Final compensation will be based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
