At Cioffis we can offer a unique opportunity to work in the restaurant industry with daytime shifts. We are all about work life balance and can provide the restaurant lifestyle with a regular life schedule. We offer a flexible schedule across all 7 days of the week, with varying start times. Shifts typically finish before 7:00 PM.

As a Cook at Cioffi’s, you will be responsible for the daily preparation and execution of menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. This role plays a key part in delivering consistently excellent food while maintaining a clean, organized, and collaborative kitchen environment.We are looking for a skilled, dependable cook with a passion for Italian cuisine, quality ingredients, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

What You Will Do:

  • Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes
  • Stock, organize, and prep assigned workstation for each shift
  • Maintain food quality, freshness, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Follow proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation procedures (FIFO)
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health regulations
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members
  • Assist with daily cleaning duties and end-of-shift breakdowns
  • Deliver professional, high-quality customer service
  • Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment

What You Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar cooking role
  • Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, food preparation, and cooking techniques
  • Proven commitment to quality, consistency, and cleanliness
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Flexible schedule across all 7 days of the week, with varying start times. Shifts typically finish before 7:00 PM.
  • Valid Food Safe Certificate
  • Valid BC Driver’s License

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move items weighing 20 lbs +
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a kitchen environment
