JOB OPPORTUNITY – RESCUE TECHNICIAN “MICA DAM”

Are you looking for flexible work options, supplemental income, or access into industries such as oil & gas, power generation, mining and others? Look no further…here is an opportunity to submit yourself for consideration to join our team at Mica Dam as an Emergency Response Team (ERT) Member.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· NFPA 1001 Level 2 (Proboard/IFSAC seal required)

· NFPA Hazmat Operations (Proboard/IFSAC seal required)

· Rope Rescue Operations (Technician preferred, seal not required)

· Confined Space Rescue Operations (Technician preferred, seal not required)

· OFA Level 1 with Transportation Endorsement (at a minimum, the expectation is that this is upgraded to OFA3 either before or shortly after employment).

· ICS 100

· Fall Protection

· Class 5 Driver’s license with Air Brake Endorsement (provide new abstract)

· Preference given to individuals with (4) years of experience in a municipal, volunteer, or full-service Industrial fire hall.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide rescue and recovery for persons in dangerous situation 

· Provide first aid support as needed 

· Perform emergency evacuation and/or carry out rescue plan when required

· Assist in assessing potential hazards 

· Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on all rescue equipment 

· Maintain an active role in ensuring proper work safety for their self and others in the surrounding area through safety meetings and shared vigilance; other duties as assigned 

Hourly Rate: $40.00 - $42.50

Job Types: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $40.00-$42.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Work Location: In person
