Full job description

Trojan Safety is looking for experienced H2S Safety Specialist/Confined Space Rescue personnel. Being local to GP would be an asset.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety briefings about H2S and other hazards
  • Set up and monitor gas detection equipment
  • Organize, lead, and assist in emergency rescue operations
  • Monitor crews wearing SCBA/SABA
  • Participate actively in site safety meetings and hazard assessments
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with health and safety policies on site
  • Maintain accurate head counts and site access control for emergencies

Required Certifications & Qualifications

  • H2S Alive - Trojan will supply
  • Standard/Intermediate First Aid - Trojan will supply
  • Confined Space Entry and Rescue - Trojan will supply
  • CSO - Trojan will supply
  • Valid Class 5 DL with clean abstract
  • Some experience in oil and gas preferred but willing to train the right candidate
  • Must be able to confidently haul a trailer

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Maintain a reasonable level of fitness
  • Able to stand long periods and work in adverse weather
  • Work long hours, including multiple shifts, nights and rotations
  • Capable of physically performing rescues

Pre-employment D&A testing is required. You will be asked to provide a drivers abstract and a copy of your tickets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour
