We are currently seeking a therapist to join our growing team at Trillium Counselling.

This role includes a mix of daytime and evening hours across a 3-4 day week , with no weekend work. Sessions are delivered primarily in person at our Uptown Waterloo office.

  • Competitive pay: $75-$110 per hour for client sessions (up to $93,000 - $137,000/year) (psychologist may be higher)

What We’re Looking For

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychotherapy, or a Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Registered professional in good standing with a relevant Ontario college (e.g., OCSWSSW, CRPO).
  • Post-graduate experience in couples therapy (Gottman or EFT) would be a strong asset as a candidate.
  • Strong skills in evidence-based therapy models (CBT, EMDR, ACT, DBT, Gottman, EFT, etc.).
  • Excellent clinical assessment, treatment, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid professional liability insurance and a clear criminal record check.
  • At least two years of post-graduate experience.
  • Availability to offer 2-3 evenings per week for sessions on an ongoing basis

  • Are you registered to work in the field of Social Work, Psychotherapy or Psychology in Ontario, in good standing with your respective college (i.e. OCSWSSW, CRPO)?
  • How many client hours per week are you interested in working? (i.e. 10, 15, 20,24 etc)
  • This role follows a set schedule at our Uptown Waterloo office: Monday 5:30–9:00 pm, Tuesday 2:30–9:00 pm, Wednesday 2:30–9:00 pm, and Friday 10:00 am–5:00 pm. Are you able to commit to this availability on an ongoing basis? If you can cover most but not all of these hours, please provide detail:
  • Do you have training or experience in couples therapy (e.g., Gottman, EFT)? This is not required but an asset for a potential candidate. If so, please briefly describe your training and approach.
  • This role is primarily in person. Are you comfortable seeing the majority of your clients in person at our Uptown Waterloo office?
