The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Service Technician to support our commercial service operations. This role is ideal for a skilled, customer-focused tradesperson who takes pride in solving problems, delivering quality workmanship, and maintaining long-term client relationships.

You’ll work across commercial and institutional facilities, performing service, troubleshooting, maintenance, and small installations.

What You’ll Do

· Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems

· Perform routine service and preventive maintenance

· Troubleshoot domestic water systems, fixtures, pumps, drainage, and backflow systems

· Conduct small plumbing installations, retrofits, and replacements

· Complete detailed service reports and communicate professionally with customers

· Work closely with dispatch and service leadership to ensure work is completed efficiently

· Recommend corrective actions and repair options to customers

· Represent Chisholm professionally on customer sites by providing courteous customer service

· Maintain high safety and workmanship standards

· Participate in on-call rotation as needed

What You’ll Need to Succeed - Minimum Qualifications

· Journeyperson Plumber (Alberta or Red Seal)

· 3–5+ years of commercial plumbing service experience

· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities

· Demonstratable understanding and ability to service commercial boilers and hydronic equipment

· Demonstrated experience with courteous customer service

· Valid Class 5 Driver’s License

· Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

· Proficient with mobile technology and applications (service programs, Microsoft Office 365, safety software, etc.) for service reports and communication

· Ability to work independently and handle field responsibilities responsibly

· Inclined to teamwork

· Fit for work

Strong Assets

· Gasfitter A certification

· Pool/recreation centre equipment and piping experience

· Backflow tester certification (AWWA/Cross Connection)

· Experience with commercial ICI buildings

· Experience with pumps, hot water systems, and hydronics

· Customer service background

· Manufacture training
