Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Analytical Chemist with a minimum of 10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in method development and a proven track record in analytical chemistry within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors. This role involves developing and validating analytical methods to support our small molecule chemistry projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and validate analytical methods for small molecule analysis using techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and FTIR.
  • Perform routine and non-routine testing to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize analytical methods to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support drug development and scale-up processes.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, SOPs, and documentation for regulatory submissions.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in analytical chemistry techniques.

Qualifications:

  • Master or B.Sc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Strong expertise in method development and validation for small molecule analysis.
  • Proficiency with analytical techniques including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, NMR, and FTIR.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, Health Canada).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with small molecule characterization in a pharmaceutical setting.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation for analytical results.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as ChemStation or equivalent.
