Full job description

We are dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

We are seeking dependable, patient, and passionate Respite Workers to join our team. Our goal is to provide high-quality support to children, youth, and adults with disabilities in their homes and community settings.

Responsibilities:

- Provide compassionate care and support to children, youth and adults with disabilities.

- Assist clients with daily activities and personal care.

- Help clients achieve educational and life skill goals through tailored program planning.

- Support clients in engaging with their community and participating in social activities.

- Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made.

- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members.

Qualifications:

- Post secondary educational background in Child and Youth Worker (CYW), Social Service Worker (SSW), , Developmental Service Worker (DSW), or a related field is required.

- Minimum of 1 year experience working with children and youth with disabilities.

- Experience in providing personal care.

- First aid certification is required.

- Vulnerable sector police check is mandatory.

- Access to a vehicle is an asset.

-Able to work weekends and evenings as needed
