Full job description

As an Offshore Survey Engineer, with Ashtead Technology you'll play a vital role in delivering successful offshore projects by ensuring survey equipment is fully prepared and tested for offshore deployment. Working closely with clients and offshore teams, you'll provide first line technical expertise that keeps projects running safely and efficiently.


What you'll be doing:

  • Prepare, test, configure, and mobilise survey equipment for offshore projects.
  • Install, integrate, commission, and maintain survey systems on customer vessels and offshore installations.
  • Operate and monitor survey equipment throughout offshore projects, ensuring optimum performance and reliability.
  • Diagnose technical faults, carry out first-line repairs, and liaise with onshore teams to resolve more complex issues.
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients and offshore project teams, delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain accurate equipment records, project documentation, asset tracking, and technical reports.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained, calibrated, and operated in accordance with company, client, and manufacturer requirements.

What experience you'll bring:

  • Demonstrable experience in an Offshore Survey Engineer role
  • Qualification in Electrical/Electronics/Engineering Systems, or have equivalent industry experience
  • Previous experience Offshore & current Offshore Survival accreditation including valid medical
