Job Summary:

As the Low Voltage Project Manager/Estimator, you drive project success through technical expertise, strong leadership, and a customer‑focused approach. You support both sales and delivery by producing accurate estimates and compelling proposals aligned with client needs. Your ability to assess project requirements, understand customer objectives, and communicate clearly is essential to winning new business and ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in sales and client meetings to gather project requirements.
  • Support the sales team by addressing customer inquiries and providing expert estimating guidance.
  • Develop accurate, competitive project quotes.
  • Submit quotes to Account Managers and customers on schedule.
  • Define scope of work and requirements with project stakeholders.
  • Align customer expectations with project deliverables.
  • Work with suppliers/manufacturers to obtain BOMs and competitive pricing.
  • Secure required materials and components for upcoming projects.
  • Prepare complete project documents and design packages for client presentations.
  • Ensure proposals include all necessary technical and scope details.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity and quote data in PROMYS.
  • Track opportunity status and follow-up actions.
  • Deliver thorough project handoff packages to Project Managers upon award.
  • Support a smooth transition from estimation to execution.
  • Ensure Field Service Technicians have required tools, materials, direction, and documentation.
  • Provide ongoing project support for Edmonton Field Service Technicians.
  • Attend project kickoff meetings and final client walkthroughs.
  • Manage and stage project materials; maintain inventory of tools, test equipment, and consumables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Low Voltage Project Manager/Estimator or similar client‑facing role.
  • Strong background in structured cabling estimation, cost analysis, and scope development.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging clients and internal teams.
  • Proficiency with estimating tools and CRM platforms; PROMYS experience is an asset.
  • Solid understanding of project management processes and workflows.
  • Experience working with suppliers/manufacturers to secure competitive pricing.
  • Technical expertise in structured cabling and related industries (construction, engineering, technology).
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and perform well in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • In‑depth knowledge of major cabling manufacturers and product lines.
