As an Exploration Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting daily exploration activities, including drill core processing, geological sampling, data collection, and field operations that directly contribute to advancing our understanding of the deposit. The position is on a rotation basis in a remote site North of Pemberton/ West of Lillooet.

Whether you're launching your career in mineral exploration or looking to build on your field experience, this role offers hands-on exposure to all aspects of an active exploration program. You'll work in a collaborative environment where safety, teamwork, continuous learning, and technical excellence are at the forefront of everything we do.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are eager to develop their skills while contributing to the future success of Talisker Resources.

  • Conduct fracture counts and measure depth intervals
  • Piece together broken drill core and draw orientation lines
  • Move and organize core boxes in core shacks and storage areas
  • Cut core using a diamond blade saw according to sampling protocol
  • Conduct point load tests on core to assist in rock strength calculations
  • Clean and maintain core logging and sampling areas
  • Assist geologists and geological students as needed

Qualifications

  • Excellent basic math skills
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy core boxes (up to ~50 lbs)
  • Comfortable working in outdoor and remote conditions
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong time management, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent)
  • Previous field or industry experience is an asset but not required
  • Must be comfortable working in a remote camp setting for extended periods
  • Eligible to work in Canada (does not require sponsorship)

If you're motivated to build a career in mineral exploration, enjoy working outdoors as part of a collaborative team, and are eager to contribute to the discovery of British Columbia's next generation of high-grade gold resources, we'd love to hear from you.
