About Us


Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home is a respected provider of resident- and family-centered long-term care, rooted in compassion, excellence, and community connection. We are seeking a value driven Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization.


The Role

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of Saint Vincent’s Nursing Home. The CEO advances the organization’s mission, vision, and values while ensuring high-quality care, financial sustainability, effective governance, and compliance with legislative, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Board, providing timely and accurate reporting on operations, performance, and organizational risk.
  • Lead the implementation of the strategic plan and report on progress toward Board-approved performance indicators.
  • Build and lead an effective senior management team and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and resident- and family-centered care.
  • Lead labour relations, including the interpretation of collective agreements and oversight of bargaining processes.
  • Act as the organization’s spokesperson and ambassador, maintaining strong relationships with residents, families, staff, community partners, and government.
  • Lead financial stewardship, including budget development, capital planning, fundraising initiatives, and major organizational projects.
  • Ensure compliance with Accreditation Canada standards, provincial licensing, workplace standards, employment legislation, and fiduciary obligations.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Health Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years of senior or executive leadership experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of long-term care, geriatrics, and the healthcare system.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, organizational leadership, and change management.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills.
