Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT)

Lakeview Veterinary Clinic
Southwest Calgary, Alberta

Lakeview Veterinary Clinic is a newly established, privately owned veterinary clinic in Southwest Calgary, conveniently located with easy access for staff and clients. We are seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) to join our growing team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide perioperative patient care.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including dental radiography, prophylaxis, and patient monitoring.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform diagnostic testing.
  • Assist with diagnostic imaging, including digital radiography and ultrasound procedures.
  • Educate clients on preventive healthcare, nutrition, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
  • Place pharmaceutical and medical supply orders.
  • Maintain controlled drug logs and ensure compliance with all applicable ABVMA regulations and standards.
  • Conduct quarterly inventory counts in collaboration with other team members and assist with inventory management.
  • Help maintain inventory and clinic organization.
  • Assist with end-of-day clinic duties and closing procedures.
  • Support a positive, efficient, and collaborative clinic workflow.

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technologist (RVT) in Alberta or eligible for registration.
  • Strong communication and client service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to compassionate patient care and client education.
  • Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, radiology, laboratory procedures, and inventory management is an asset.
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
