Argyle Associates is one of the largest groups of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Canada. Established in 1976, providing the entire spectrum of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical procedures available today. We have four locations in the Ottawa area ranging from Kanata to Orleans.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Prepare the clinic by completing the setup, stocking, cleaning, and closing procedures to ensure a sterile and efficient environment.
  • Conduct detailed preoperative interviews and health history assessments for each patient to gather comprehensive information.
  • Communicate effectively with patient and responsible person regarding post operative pickup and care
  • Collaborate & communicate with Surgeon and Nurse Manager
  • Assist Surgeon with airway management, IV initiation, monitor placement, patient positioning, tracking vital signs
  • Discharge care and post-operative education for patient and care provider.
  • Maintain current certifications in ACLS, PALS, and CPR. Training can be provided for successful applicants lacking these certifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) License with relevant clinical experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Recognized Perioperative Nursing Certificate.
  • 1+ year experience in a similar role in an operating room environment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong customer service, organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Effectively communicate verbally and written.
  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions, respecting patient confidentiality.
  • Ability to keep composure in stressful situations, manage stress effectively to maintain focus and deliver optimal patient care.
  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required.

Some evening shifts required
