Full job description

Adventura Medical Staffing Inc. is seeking experienced Registered Nurses with Labour & Delivery experience for travel nursing assignments throughout Ontario.

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to explore Ontario while working in a supportive clinical environment with competitive compensation, travel assistance, and accommodation support.

Position Details

Position: Registered Nurse – Labour & Delivery
Location: Various locations throughout Ontario
Employment Type: Contract / Travel Nursing
Contract Length: Typically 13 weeks, with extension opportunities
Schedule: Full-time; shifts may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Pay: Competitive bi-weekly compensation
Accommodation: Provided
Travel: Travel assistance provided

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients throughout labour, delivery, and the postpartum period
  • Complete comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments
  • Monitor patients and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition
  • Assist with labour and delivery procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered
  • Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team
  • Provide patient and family education and support
  • Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent clinical situations
  • Maintain professional standards and facility policies

Qualifications

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse in Ontario
  • Recent Labour & Delivery experience
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Current BLS, NRP, FHS certification
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on the facility
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different healthcare environments
